Unit Capabilities and Details: This is a state of the art engine with a single stage   pump and 750 gallons of water on board and is capable of drafting water in   non-hydrant areas.  The truck is   equipped with 1,000’ of 5” supply lines in addition to attack lines.  The truck has a seating capacity of 7   including the driver and officer.

This was the first fire truck purchased new by the Ridge Fire District in 1952

Unit Capabilities and Details: 500 GPM front mounted pump and 500 gallons of on board   water.  This truck is capable of   drafting as back in the 50’s drafting was essential.  Gear was carried on the sides of the truck   and firefighters would go directly to the scene of the fire and “gear up”   when the driver brought the truck to the scene.

 

 

 

Additional Information:

This truck was renovated and repainted several times over the years.   The latest renovation took place in the early 2000’s

 Extended cab with seating for 10 personnel.  This truck is equipped with a large assortment of tools and equipment to support operations on a variety of alarms.

  • Command style walkthrough body

  • Fixed air hoses on reels

  • On board hydraulic tools and lines on reels
  • Front mounted winch
  • Portable winch that can be attached to the sides or rear of the truck

  • Self Contained Breathing Apparatus (SCBA) and spare bottles

Unit Capabilities and Details: This is a special purpose vehicle designed to carry a water supply to brush trucks working off road.  The truck is capable of all wheel drive to travel down dirt roads and Electric Rights of Way in order to bring a water supply closer to trucks working to extinguish fires deep in the forests surrounding our community.
